Perception differences of factors affecting patient's health in pre-operation, intra-operation and post operation periods among employees

The aim of this study is to investigate the health sector staffs' differences in terms of their perceptions toward the factors affecting patient's health in pre the pre-operative, intraoperative and postoperative processes. The population of the study consists of the 286 health workers working at Okmeydanı Research and Training Hospital. The population of the study was chosen by simple random sampling. As a data collection tool, questionnaires were used. The questionnaires were formed by the researchers as a result of literature review. The data collection analysis tool was SPSS 16 software program. As a result of the study, ıt was found that health staff give importance to the pre the pre-operative, intraoperative and postoperative processes. The surgery staff has defended the necessity of the required rules to be carried out in order to have a successful performed surgery. Furthermore, in the present study it was revealed that the doctors' and anesthesia physicians' perceptions towards the factors affecting patients' health in pre-operative, intraoperative and postoperative processes are higher when compared other health care practitioners.
