Abstract (EN)

The book "The Origin of Species" written by Charles Darwin at the beginning of the second half of the 19th century is one of the important events in the history of science. Up until then, it was generally accepted that particularly large living creatures were created by God. However, with the relevant books revelations, the scientific circles accepted that all living creatures, including humans, were first formed by the evolution of a first spontaneous creature under atmospheric conditions. That the creature can be formed spontaneously without the need of a creator, naturally is deterministic, materialistic, and to some extent naturalistic. Risale-i Nur, a collection written by Bediuzzaman Said-i Nursi, in the first half of the 20th century contains many works and is mainly concerned with the existence and the concept of a creator. In this context, the work is in contradiction with determinist, materialist and naturalist worldviews. Although the term evrim or evolution is never mentioned in Risale-i Nur, there are many paragraphs that contradict the concept of evolution. In this study, Said-i Nursi's criticism of evolution will be analyzed by taking into account his idea of creation.
