The eclectic structure of the concepts of 'culture' and 'industry' in the context of art

The concepts of 'art' and 'culture', which are as old as human history, have expanded their potential by interacting with different values throughout the historical process. When the expressions in the sources obtained from the research conducted in the context of these concepts are evaluated, a definition that fully defines the concepts of 'art' and 'culture' has not been reached. It can be said that the fact that both concepts have a very wide range makes it difficult to define these concepts. Art; History, Philosophy, Literature, Sociology, etc. It is linked to many fields. Culture includes all these fields and art into its structure. For this reason, art is in a structure that can no longer isolate itself from culture in terms of its formation. There are many areas and concepts that affect this structure of culture and art. One of these is the concept of 'industry', which has entered our lives with technological developments. The social structure, which has changed with the industrialization process, has combined the concepts of culture and industry under the umbrella of the culture industry. The reasons for existence and life strategies of societies exist through the harmony or relationship of many structures with each other. All the values that make up a society constitute the culture of that society. It can be said that the economic development of a society is the result of efforts made in terms of industry. In places where the industry is developed, it has a significant impact on the life practices of society(s). Industrial values lie at the basis of most of the cultural processes we encounter today (popular culture, consumer culture, culture, etc.). The concept of 'industry' is one of the concepts that emerged in this development process. As people develop, industry, which is the result of technology and science, has made human life easier and saved time at many points. However, this situation has led to the formation of a culture of consumption. Industries based on the supply-demand relationship have gained a more capital structure over time, enabling the demand for products that cannot be supplied through advertising. The strong ties between the concepts of 'culture' and 'industry' are seen especially in the different art structures that we encounter in the second half of the twentieth century. In this research titled "The Eclectic Structure of the Concepts of 'Culture' and 'Industry' in the Context of Art", the eclectic structures of the concepts of culture and industry in these works of art created using different techniques were examined. At the same time, in this research, the reflections of the eclectic structure of the universal industrial mobility with cultural variables on contemporary art forms were examined. It is important to examine sociocultural structures in the art practices of artists who reflect the life dynamics created by cultural and industrial processes in their works. In the work examinations, it is seen that the eclectic structure of the concepts of culture and industry is reflected in contemporary art forms. The images used in the artworks of the different artists examined within the scope of this research were discussed within the framework of culture, art and industry concepts. Among the most important results obtained in this review; It can be said that the industrial objects used by artists in their works have important connotations both in terms of the societies they belong to and in the universal context.
