Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this thesis is to present the relationship between the private space and the concept of 'room' under categories of various artistic disciplines and through analysis of artistic works. It asserts that the concept of 'privacy' varies according to the characteristics of the period, and depicts the reflections of privacy on arts. It also presents psychological and sociological examples to the disclosure of privacy. Subsequently, the thesis expands the general meaning of the concept of 'room' with additional definitions of 'subjective space, body, subconscious, internal space'. This work primarily focuses on the ways arts dealt with the subject of private space, how the artists were affected by this, how the concept of 'privacy' gained meaning with the concept of 'space' and the instances of violation of privacy, through a study of the work of arts. In general, it offers a reciprocal outlook to artists from various disciplines and to their works, with reference to privacy and the concept of 'room' as a subjective space.
