Abstract (EN)

Parkinson's Disease was first described in 1817 by the British physician James Parkinson in an article called "An Essay on the Shaking Palsy". Parkinson's disease is characterized by bradykinesia, rigidity, tremor and postural instability and is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases after Alzheimer's disease. The formation process of the disease is attributed to various mechanisms. The most important of these is neuroinflammationand has an important place in the whole process of the disease. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is a potent proinflammatory cytokine that exerts a variety of biological effects by binding to various receptors, triggering intracellular signaling. Currently, the relationship between Parkinson's disease and tumor necrosis factors has not been fully elucidated. Due to the limited number of studies, the relationship between TNF-alpha and Parkinson's disease is not fully known. In this study, TNF-alpha inhibitors were applied locally in the Parkinson's disease model that we created with 6-OHDA. There is a surgical treatment for Parkinson's disease. In addition, pharmacological treatment is only symptomatic treatment. With this study, it was found that neuroinflammation can be stopped with TNF-alpha inhibitors and a neuroprotective treatment method against the disease has been found and it is a preliminary study.
