Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to examine the suitability of the texts in the 8th grade Turkish textbooks prepared within the scope of the Turkish Language Teaching Program (2019), in line with the teachers' opinions. In this context, opinions were taken from experts in the field and a 5-point Likert type scale (questionnaire) consisting of 35 items was developed in accordance with the purpose of the research. The KMO Factor analysis (.943) and reliability coefficient (cronbach-alpha) of the developed scale were found to be .97, therefore it was decided that the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. In the study, the opinions of Turkish teachers about the texts in the 8th grade Turkish textbook were obtained by using the questionnaire technique. In this context, a questionnaire consisting of 35 items was applied to 158 Turkish teachers working in the central district, district and villages of Siirt. The data obtained after the application of the questionnaire were analyzed with a statistical analysis program. In the study, it was found that there was no significant difference in the teachers' opinions about the textbooks based on gender, graduation and socioeconomic variables. However, considering the service period of the participants; It has been determined that there is a significant difference between the participants in terms of the contribution of the texts to the student and the suitability of the texts to the student's level. The texts in the 8th grade Turkish textbook; It was concluded that they were prepared in a way that is appropriate for the student level, reflects the student's interests, and improves the current issues and language skills of the student.
