Abstract (EN)

Labours unions have a considerable effect on society's democratization, locating and running labour relations on lawful order, preserving and improving employees' rights and benefits as well as employees' work values and work behaviours. Union commitment comprises of members' loyalty to a labour union, voluntary effort and belief, eventually; it provides satisfaction and participation among members. The efficiency, power, and permanence of labour unions' activities are not only related to its members' quantitative abundance. Quality of members and existence of union commitment are as important as quantitative abundance. Work values are the aims which influence working effort as quality of labour and satisfaction that an employee looks for. Work values, which employees have, are the most important factors peculiar to work behaviours such as performance, indiscipline, nonattendance, slow down, stoppage, overwork, organizational loyalty. In this sense, work values and work behaviours are not only the focus of labour unions but also of managements of enterprices. The aim of this study is to put forward the effect of labour unions on work values and work behaviours of employees. Thus, the necessity of activity diversity, through which labour unions may direct employees' work values and work behaviours in a positive way, will be set forth. Moreover, the perspective of enterprice managements towards labour unions will be provided to alter positively. Through Structural Equivalence Modelling, it has been proved that being a member of labour unions affects work values and work behaviours substantially in a positive way. It has been determined that particularly, at enterprices where a labour union and a management have no conflicts and cooperation between a labour union and a management is available, both employees are able to use innovative ideas more through labour development and labour enrichment efforts and they take part in more effectively in labour union activities and departments. Keywords: Labour Union, Belonging to a Labour, Union Commitment, Work Values, Work Behaviours.
