The investigation of farmers agricultural credit cards usage of greenhouse farmers: A case study of Muğla province

The aim of this research is the case of using agricultural credit cards on farm by greenhouse farmers and the factors which affect the usage. The main material which has gained by first quastionaries from Mugla province and Fethiye and seydikemer's 186 greenhouses farmes. Results of the researching, it is found that 43,5% of greenhouses have been using agricultural credit cards. It is calculated that there are nearly (4,8 decare) greenhouse size. The average age of the farmers is 46,3 and the period of study is 8,1 years. It is confessed that the people who uses agricultural credit cards are younger than the ones who don't use (42,6 years) period of study yard is higher (8,3 years) and greenhouse production area is larger (6,3 decare). The result of Chi square test analysis which is done for whether there is a relation or not about usage of agricultural credit cards by farmers and socio-economic variables. The result of the analyses showed that there is a significant relationship between the farms usage and non-usage of agricultural credit cards by farmers; the age of farmers, being retired, , number of greenhouse parts, ownership status (rental/ownership), size of greenhouse production area, amount of tomato production, experience period (year), the usage of seed (local or foreign seed), income obtained from greenhouse production (TL), household income (TL), greenhouse insurance status, farmer's investment status and usage of smart phone. Also logistic regression analysis is done for determining the factors affecting usage of credit cards by farmers. According to results of the model, the age of farmers, greenhouse insurance, usage of smart phone and be pleased to greenhouse growing are all found meaningful statistically.
