The place of women figures in ceramic art and women's figure with expression forms of working ceramic artists

Ceramic art is as old as the history of humankind. From the moment when people become aware of their own consciousness, they started to produce and have a rich cultural accumulation that extends from the time they lived to the present. Kybele, which is used in ceramic faiths and in religious beliefs, appears as idols. Ceramics from the past to the present, excavated as a result of excavations have the traces of the period which occurred. Terracotta ceramics from excavation sites in accordance with the information obtained by the development of technology have been present and continue to be used in different fields. Figurative ceramics illuminate us in many areas such as climate, weather conditions, economy, religious belief, and bring us together with the cultural richness of that period. Republican Period contributed to the development of the Turkish ceramic art and the development of the new generation ceramic artists. Today, while the craft of ceramic art continues its functionality, it is seen that it is more preferred as an aesthetic element. In this direction, the works of ceramic artists who contributed to the Ceramic Art of the Republic Period were examined and the designs were created and applied inspired by the works of the artists. When figurative ceramics are perused in general terms, the addition of aesthetics and values which adjoined by the ceramics to the environment have the quality of document. An example of this is the Venus of Dolní Věstonice. In this research, qualitative methods, face to face interviews, observations, and general screening models and literature review were utilized. This research consists of two parts. In the first chapter, 'The Use of Figures and History in Ceramic Art' is included. In the second part, 'The Use of the Figure in Ceramic Art and Examples of Different Figurative Ceramic Works Made Out of Women's Form' is given. As a result of this research, it is thought that the application example of female figures in ceramic art will be a role model. Keywords: Figurative Woman, Form, Republican Period Artists, Ceramic
