Abstract (EN)

The research was planned in a descriptive and relationship-seeking type in order to determine the sleep quality and fatigue level in individuals who have had a cerebrovascular accident. December May 2022-Dec 2022, the universe of the research, all the individuals who had cerebrovascular accident who were inpatient in the Neurology Department of a University Hospital between the dates of cerebrovascular accident and 124 patients formed the sample. In the collection of data; 'Patient Introduction Form', 'Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index', 'Piper Fatigue Scale' were used. The data obtained from the study were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 program. 45.2% of the individuals participating in the study were women, and the average age was 64.71±12.24. It was found that the average total score of the individuals was 11.99 ± 3.98 and the average total score of the Piper Fatigue Scale was 26.07 ± 5.07. It was determined that there was a positively significant relationship between all PUKI sub-dimensions and total score and Piper Fatigue Scale sub-dimensions and total score (p<0,05). As a result, sleep quality and fatigue level are significantly affected in individuals who have undergone SVA. For this reason, sleep quality and fatigue level should be taken into account in the nursing care of individuals who have undergone SVA.
