Abstract (EN)
After major accidents occurred between 1960-1985, Seveso Directives, which aimed a systematic study, has been published and mandatory to implement in EU countries. Under the study of the adaptation of EU legislation to Turkey, Regulation on Control of Major Industrial Accidents has been published on August18, 2010. This study which is prepared as a guide document about acceptability level (ALARP) calculation and implementation within the scope of the regulation in Turkey. It also include intended purpose of acceptability level and land use planning. Furthermore, acceptability level has to determine according to Regulation on Control of Major Industrial Accidents and the upper tier sites have to prepare Safety Report which include quantitative risk assessment and risk mapping based upon safety and acceptability levels around the sites. In this context, using datas from Turkish Statistical Institute, it proposed a theoretic acceptable value for level of ALARP which can be apply for Turkey.
