Abstract (EN)

Child magazines occupy an important position and function in child literature. Child magazines have contributed for children to have literary and esthetical delightfulness, and to expand horizon of the ideas and vocabulary knowledge from past to present.Sevimli Mecmua which is one of the old-lettered child magazines was published in 1925, the first years of Turkish Republic; however, it ended publication in the same year after 13 issues.In this dissertation, all the issues of Sevimli Mecmua magazine have been translated into Turkey Turkish despite passing almost 90 years from the first publication date. In this sense, one of the old-lettered magazines which have been forgotten in the dusty pages of history has been served for the researchers working in the child literature field.Key Words: Child, child literature, illustrated child magazine, old-lettered child magazine, Sevimli Mecmua
