Seyfuddin el-Amidi's understanding of naskh

This study, which is the basis of the research has been made about the naskh theory that is a paradigm of Seyfuddin el-Amidi's procedural thought who proved himself in the field of both Islamic scienses and mental scienses. Amidi, who lived in Hijri VII and Gregorian XIII centuries, started his primary education where he was born. Then, he made scientific travels to the lands such as Baghdad, Damascus, Hama and Egypt in order to gain depth in the field of Islamic scienses. Amidi, who prefered to engage in philosophy and logic scienses like al-Ghazali, took courses in philosophy and logic, which are mental scienses, from Jewish and Christian scholars acting with the principle of 'Wisdom, valuable informations are believer's lost property, he is the holder of right to take it'. Thus, he revealed that he was the authoritarian in both the religious and the mental field. In this study, it has been tried to reveal by determining Seyfuddin el-Amidi's idiocratic opinions about the naskh centering on his idea of procedural. The reason why the topic named Seyfuddin el-Amidi's understanding of naskh has been prefered is the absence of such a study on this topic on Seyfuddin el-Amidi's axis in Turkey and the consequence of being a controversial issue of naskh topic. Therefore, in this study, it has been revealed that how Seyfuddin el-Amidi, who was such an important scientist, approached, handled and evaluated the topic of naskh in his methodology.
