Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, a discrete Lotka-Volterra type predator-prey model with refuge effect is discussed. The studied model was obtained from a continuous-time population model by utilizing the Euler method. In order to continue the analysis with fewer parameters, first of all, the system was nondimensionalized, and then the equilibrium points of the dimensionless system were found. The dynamics of the system was investigated by performing local stability analysis for each equilibrium point. In addition, the presence of flip and Neimark-Sacker bifurcation at the positive equilibrium point has been analytically demonstrated. All these analyzes were made and compared for the models with and without the refuge effect in order to examine the refuge effect on the dynamics. Obtained results supported by numerical simulations.
