Abstract (EN)

This research aim to measure the effect of cognitive behaviors treatments with drug treatment on patients who applied for smoking cessation clinics. Fagerström test of nicotine dependence is used to data acquisition. Sample of this research contains ages between 40-50, 30 patients who applied to Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital. These patients didn't quit smoking since start smoking. Experimental group's patients are practiced cognitive behavior treatment contain 6 sessions which are standardized with 3 months give medication. Control group's patients were given just 3 months medication. After 3 months both groups were did posttest. Data which acquired by patients analyze in Statistical Package for the Social Sciences SPSS 21.0. The results obtained, both experimental group and control group's pretest-posttest score were compared. Both groups are succeeded to quitting smoking, but cognitive behavior treatment with 3 months give medication are more succeeded than given just 3 months medication.
