Internal control system and sustainable efficiency in insurance agents

ABSTRACT Because of economical fluctuations and changes in our country and also in the world, the wish of the companies to establish a powerful control mechanism and the efforts of speed-developing companies to maintain their development consistently, and their efforts for institutionalization start to make compulsory the establishing internal control system. With this study, we try to explain internal control system in security agencies and being supplied of its sustainable activeness with practices and details. The study is composed of three sections. In the first section, the main concepts of insurance, the histrorical development of insurance business, and institutions and organizations in insurance system in Turkey is explained. In the second section of the study, the definition, aim, and scope of internal control system, and the authority and responsibility in internal control, and the structure, progress, main principles of internal control, and internal control components and internal supervision is tried to study. In the last section of the study, there are some practices about the subject. There is advices for the necessities to establish internal control system and its situation in the studied company.
