Abstract (EN)

In this study, morphological, anatomical, palynological, seed characteristics, essential oil characteristics and ecological characteristics of Silene araratica Scischk subsp. araratica and Silene sclerophylla Chowdh taxa have been determined and the differences between them have been revealed.Pollen and seeds were examined in both light and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Morphological studies of taxa;body, leaf, flower, fruit, seed and pollen parts were measured and their distinctive features were determined in tables. In anatomic studies, the sections were manually stained with safranin-fast green dual staining method.Photographs of the preparations were taken with the research microscope and their distinctive features were determined. In determination of essential oil components, aerial parts of plants were dried and isolated by hydrodistillation method and then volatile components were analyzed by GC-MS. In ecological studies, it was found that plants generally spread in rocky, stony and steppe areas, preferred places where the Mediterranean climate prevailed, grown in sandy-clayey and sandy-loam soils and nutrient conditions in the soil were very high due to the area.
