The role of smart technologies in the digital transformation of companies and its impact on organizational performance:The case of Mersin province

In this thesis, the factors influencing digital transformation in organizations and the areas where smart technologies are effective, their contributions, and their effects on organizational performance have been investigated. The study population consists of manufacturing firms in the Free Zone and Organized Industrial Zone in Mersin province. Within the scope of this study, a total of 210 surveys were conducted, and the research model was analyzed using regression analysis. To comprehensively present the topic in detail, information on smart technologies, digital transformation, and organizational performance has been provided based on the current literature. As a result of the analysis, it was found that smart technologies and digital transformation have a positive effect on organizational performance, and due to the statistically significant indirect effect, it was observed that smart technologies play a mediating role in the impact of digital transformation on organizational performance.
