Abstract (EN)
In this research, considering the loss of life and property caused by the earthquakes in the past, the situation of Turkey's geography with high seismic fault lines is also evaluated in terms of cost-benefit of seismic isolation systems that absorb seismic energy in buildings in order to minimize or completely neutralize the damaging effects of earthquake forces. It was tried to ensure that the necessity and awareness of its use were evaluated by evaluating it. After the preliminary evaluation of the data obtained from the questionnaire study with the determined sample group, statistical analysis was performed with the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) computer program. In the findings, it has been determined that seismic isolation systems provide high benefits against earthquake risk and that they should be used.
