Impact of information technologies to achieve the financial resources of civil society organizations: Analysis of Türkiye Eğitim Gönüllüleri Vakfı

As a consequance of Turkey?s efforts to have a place in the EU, the terms ?human rights?, ?basic rights and freedom? have gained impotance. Non-governmental organizations? duties and responsibilities have gone to next level with the help of ?adjusment laws? which not only confines The State?s efficiency but also redoubles liberties.Recently civil society organizations (non governmental organizations) and Sustainability of these organizaitons(NGOs) are increasingly getting important. It is also important issue that to be established platforms which can reach their objectives. To be determined how NGOs can be supported is another factor which is discussed. In this study, how the informatics components attribute to find financial sources for non-governmental organizations will be analysed and detected in a case study.In the first part; indicating the approaches, theories and definitions about civil society, process of transition to Non-Governmental Organisations will be analysed. Subsequently; by analysing the development process of non-governmental organizations, It will be tried to state different terms and definitions concerning non-governmental organisations. The development process of ?Civil Society? in Turkey will be discussed in the Pre-Republic and Republic periods and the reader will be briefed about the civil society in these periods. In the process of transition to non-governmental organizations; stating definitions and informations about progresses, type of their foundations, features, shareholders and from which elements their financial sources is formed will be indicated.In the second part; the term ?Informatics? will be analysed and Info concerning Informatics Technologies used by Non-Governmental Organizations in achieving resources will be stated.In the light of these informations; effect of Informatics on resources will be displayed by sampling the resources which the existing Non-Governmental Organizations gained in this way.In the third part; ?Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation? will be analysed as a sample Non-governmental Organization and the effect of informatics will be studied on ?Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation?. With the Informations to be achieved from this study, the effects of Informatics on Non-Governmental Organizations? access to financial sources will be evaluated and It will be tried to take Non-governmental Organizations attention to this subject.Key Words: Civil Society, Non-Governmental Organizations, Informatics
