Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study, is to assess the current situation of the supplementary outdoor learning in Turkey Primary Schools by gathering the findings of the inquiries held on the subject area via meta-synthesis method. Data of this study are derived from the 61 thesis and dissertatitions held between 2004-2014 which samples 6080 pupils and 3077 teachers in total.As a final result of this study, it can be expressed that despite the limitations, active outdoor learning still has multiple positive contributions to cognitive, emotional and social skills of pupils and can be considered to have an important function on "associating school with life" frequently mentioned in National Education Assemblies.
