Abstract (EN)

In this research an evaluation was made to identify the general qualifications of teaching profession and learning needs of primary school teachers, working in Ankara. It was tried to figure out the primary school teachers? perception of efficiency about General Qualifications Fields of Teaching Profession.430 primary school teachers?, working in central districts of Ankara, efficiency perception levels towards their profession were determined by using questionnaire and conversation techniques. In the light of obtained data, primary school teachers? perception about General Qualifications Field of teaching profession was identified in relation to gender and seniority variables.Primary school teachers? perception of efficiency towards their profession was tried to identify in the frame of some performance indicators in sub-efficiency fields (like; Personal and Professional Development ? Professional Values; Recognizing the Students; Learning and Teaching Process; Monitoring and Evaluating the Learning and Development; Relations between School, Family and Society) of teaching profession general efficiency fields. According to obtained data the teachers, who believe in their inefficiency in some fields of teaching profession general efficiency, were interwieved and their professional needs about their profession were determined.
