Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to determine the expectations of the in-service elementary school teachers about the classroom management from the school counseling service. There were a total of 96 in-service elementary school teachers involved in this study that took place at the elementary schools of Afyonkarahisar National Education Directorate during the academic year of 2014-2015.In this study the researcher used a questionnaire called "The Expectations Of The Primary School Teachers About The Classroom Management From The Schools Counseling Services (Case Of Zonguldak)" that was developed by Söker (2007) and taken from his Master's thesis. The reliability estimate of the questionnaire obtained by using Cronbach's alpha measure was .9568 for the total scale. Reliability estimates based on Cronbach's alpha measures were obtained for each subscale: first factor: .9160, second factor: .9304, third factor: .9170, and fourth factor: .7345. The study showed that although the variables, gender and graduation, were not great factors affecting the classroom management, teaching experience was an influential factor. Key words: Counseling, classroom management, gender, graduation, year of teaching experience
