Abstract (EN)

Mother tongue is a means that is used in every part of human life, makes the individual of society, member of it and definite the social identity of a person. The most frequently done language activities are listening and speaking. An active listening, an effective and correct speaking is the basic factor that shapes the social life of a person. The objective of this study is to find out the importance of tongue twister which is an important part of our oral folk literature tadition in Turkish language education. The second aim of this study is to determine the teachers weight level that they gave to tongue twister in Turkish lessons in primary school at a second level.In the first part of study, the importance and objective of the study is stated. The second part of the study includes general description about tongue twister. In the third part statue of listening, reading and speaking which are the three main parts of Turkish education?s activity field and importance of tonge twister to improve this basic skills are defineted.In the assistance of means for collecting information that we develop, as teachers sex and senioriy, it is determined that if they think that tounge twister is a useful education tool in Turkish lessons or not.In the results of tests have done important differences did not seen. When the results are considered as seniority we can saythere?s a slight difference between them. But it has seen that group of teachers which is between 16 and 20, 21 and more years.are more conscious about the benefit of tongue twister in Turkish education..
