Abstract (EN)

Somatostatin and its analogs, octreotide and lanreotide, can suppress tumor growth in patients with positive somatostatin receptors; thus slowing or stopping the development of metastatic neuroendocrine cancer and carcinoid tumors; They also eliminate symptoms such as wheezing, rash and nausea. Synthetically derived somatostatin and its analogs, which are used as growth hormone inhibitors, are widely used in clinical practice. In addition, somatostatin and its analogs are used in the treatment of somatostatin-related disorders such as acromegaly and gigantism. Within the scope of this thesis, development of a sensitive, selective and fast electrochemical sensor for the determination of somatostatin and its analogs, octreotide and lanreotide; using molecular imprinted polymers (MIP) to increase the sensitivity and selectivity of the sensor; evaluation of the performance of the new sensor to be developed; investigation of the electrochemical behavior of somatostatin and its analogs using the developed sensor; Optimization and validation studies of electrochemical analysis will be carried out.
