The sociological case of Turhan Ekici and his works in the last contemporary Turkish picture

In this thesis study, sociological phenomena in Turhan Ekiciand his art were analysedin the Contemporary Turkish picture. The artist who was born in Çemişgezek, went to Çapa Art Seminar and Education Instıtute of Universtyof Marmara, then his adventure in art life started. We can see Anatolia's culture, life, experiences, village life and difficulties, sociologicalprojections of their anxieties, apprehension and excitementsof his workof arts like other artist that proved themselves. His beliefon the way to reach universality passesfrom regionality, was noted. He was one of the few artists who made a difference on the plastic usage. In this research, Turhan Ekici is an artist who draws attention to the direction of the artist educator and shed light on the surrounding areas, who always bear the anxiety of looking for solutions to the problems of plastic arts, and who records the hits in this wide range of socio-psychological analyses and reflects all these in his Works.
