Abstract (EN)

In this study, Akhisar and its environs aimed to bring together the results of archaeological studies related to the Late Bronze Age in detail and the general geographical characteristics of the region, the history of the researches and the information given by the travelers about the region were collected. In relation to the Late Bronze Age, David French, Rafet Dinç and Engin Akdeniz have benefited from their work in the region. In this context, eight mounds (höyüks) where the finds related to the period were found were examined. One of these mounds is the Hastane Höyük which is located in the Akhisar district center and the fact that excavations are being carried out here is a priority here. The location of each mound, the history of the investigations, the state of the SİT, and the date of the relevant committee if it is declared SIT. It is understood that Akhisar, which forms the connection between the north and south parts of the Aegean Region due to its geography, has finds similar to ceramics found in many centers in Western Anatolia. Since the Late Bronze Age is a period of increasing interest of the civilizations of Mycenaean and Hittite to Western Anatolia, the evaluation of Hittite written texts informing about Western Anatolia, even if not directly, was made. KEYWORDS: Protohistory, Akhisar, Thyateira, Hastane Höyüğü, Late Bronze Age.
