Abstract (EN)
In this study, the answers to the questions of whether the social, human and psychological capitals of the individuals have an impact on their career successes and, if so, which types of capital have stronger impacts on the career successes of the individuals, were investigated. In addition, it was also investigated whether social capital has a mediating effect on the relationship between human capitals and career achievements of individuals. In this context, the analyzes were performed by a total of 400 questionnaires obtained from middle and senior managers working in the banks operating in Turkey. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS and AMOS programs within the scope of the research model. "Structural Equation Modelling (SEM)" was preferred for the test of the determined hypotheses of the research. The findings show that the social and psychological capitals of the employees have a significant and positive effect on their career success, while the human capital of the employees does not have a significant effect on it. In addition, the findings also reveal that social capital has a full mediating effect on the relationship between human capital and career success of individuals. It is thought that the study differs from other previous studies due to various reasons such as evaluating individuals in terms of their subjective career successes on the basis of three types of capital, conducting the research in a different sector and finally, testing the research hypotheses with SEM. Therefore, it is hoped that it will provide both humble theoretical and methodological contributions to the relevant literature.
