Examining the relationship between my social studies teacher candidates concerns of not being appointed and their academic motivation

This study was conducted to determine the relationship between social studies teacher candidates' anxiety about not being appointed and their academic motivation. Relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The sample of the study consists of 388 pre-service social studies teachers studying in the Social Studies Teacher Education programme in Turkey, selected from three different universities in the Eastern Anatolia Region with the convenience sampling method. The data of the study were collected with the appointment anxiety scale for teacher candidate the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) and the Personal İnformation Form prepared by the researcher. IBM SPSS- 29 package program was used to analyze the data. İn the analysis of the data obtained in the research; In order to determine the academic motivation and anxiety levels of the participants, descriptive satictics, T-test for independent samples for the gender veriable, ANOVA for class level, university attended, mother and father education status, ANOVA for the high school type veriable. Pearson Corallation analyzes were used to determine the relationships between age, family income level, academic motivation and anxiety about not being oppointed. As a result of the research,it was found that there was no significant difference between the veriable of university, gender class level and family education status, and the relationship between social studies teacher candidates anxiety about not being appointed and their academic motivation, age,high school graduation status and it was concluded that there was o significant relationship an the family income level veriable.
