Abstract (EN)

As internet usage network spreads notably and takes an important role in every individual's life and as individuals, NGOs and governments steps up, internet network has been accepted in every area globally. Social networking flourished vastly with widespread usage of internet and has taken a large place in our lives which lead it to be used for commercial purposes; especially as an avertisement factor, internet may be the most important one among existing communication tools. Technological developments are being used as a commercial tool by global corporaions and using internet with social media networks, large-scale firms are now available to reach higher and easier profits which exceeeds their limits way ahead than before. It is safe to say that countries which does not have any kind of global power are being exploited in a way by this new commercial system; because it is being used extensively and effectively over them, but nevertheless, they pay no taxes. Over and above, this exploitation is obvious as it is and has a legal ground provided by manipulated international economical and cooperation institutes which were forced to do it by the global powers of multinational corporations. While global corporations are making huge profits via this "legal ground", exploited countries which has serious population and consuming potential gets nothing out of it. When everything is evaluated, it is revealing that internet and social media income taxation is becoming an imperative neccessity. Just like every country, it's quite regular for Turkey to try to apply taxation on Turkey-originated incomes; every income derived within the borders of our country should be taxed by our tax legislation. When the output of companies operating in the field of social media is examined, humongous amounts of profits and vastly numbers of users are revealed. As a result of these impressively large numbers, social media and advertisement becomes both points of attraction and the place to make incredible profits. Because the size of social media advertisements are economically huge, it is neither wise nor fair to ignore this incomes. Comparing the cost of taxation and working hours spent for taxation of common citizens with the future tax income of social media networking, unfolds great differences between the two.
