Survey on the relationship between social capital and organizational citizenship behavior

Individuals constitute the basic structure of organizations, which brings out the dimension of personal relationships in organizations. Organizations have come to realize the importance of social capital in order to increase both organizational performance and to gain competitive advantage. The organization contribution of social capital and organizational citizenship behavior which being an important element in management; they become individuals responsible, business and colleagues who care, helpful, motivated, adopting the organization that it works, have a sense of belonging, participating in decisions and visionary. Nevertheless, increased voluntary behavior in the organization and the emergence of a trusting environment with communicable individuals will alleviate the burden of the manager and ıt is increase the performance of organizations. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between social capital and organizational citizenship behavior. In this study, the concepts and the studies that give direction to these concepts are mentioned and the relationship between these two concepts is examined. In the application part of the study, correlation analysis, regression analysis and Anova were performed to examine the relationship between social capital and OCB sub-dimensions. As a result of the study, it is obtained that individuals with high social capital levels are prone to some voluntary behaviors.
