Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in 2022 in Isparta province to determine the effects of epibrassinolide (EBR) applications on yield and some yield components in soybean (Glycine max L.). The PG Victoria soybean variety was used as plant material in the research. In the experiment, three different doses of epibrassinolide (0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 µM EBR) were applied to the leaves before the plants bloomed. Field trials were established in plots of 2 x 4 m, with each plot consisting of four rows. In the experiment, characteristics such as the first flowering time, 50% flowering time, first pod set time, 50% pod set time, vegetation period, plant height, first pod height, pod length, pod number per plant, seed number per pod, seed number per plant, 100-seed weight, plant weight, seed yield per plant, harvest index, and unit area seed yield were evaluated. Differences between the treatments were found to be significant for all the above-mentioned characteristics except for 50% flowering time, first pod set time, 50% pod set time, seed number per pod, and 100-seed weight. According to the results, the first flowering time ranged from 54 to 56 days, 50% flowering time ranged from 56.7 to 59.7 days, first pod set time ranged from 69.3 to 70.3 days, 50% pod set time ranged from 76 to 78 days, vegetation period ranged from 133.7 to 136.7 days, plant height ranged from 85.4 to 102.4 cm, first pod height ranged from 10.2 to 12.6 cm, pod length ranged from 4.9 to 5.9 cm, pod number per plant ranged from 48.8 to 80.3, seed number per pod ranged from 2.8-3.2, seed number per plant ranged from 144.6 to 193.5, 100-seed weight ranged from 11 to 12.3 g, plant weight ranged from 64.3 to 84.1 g, seed yield per plant ranged from 15.5 to 22.8 g, harvest index ranged from 24.7% to 27.6%, and unit area seed yield ranged from 378.3 to 566.7 kg/da. The highest unit area seed yield averages were found in plots treated with 0.5 µM EBR in the experiment.
