Analysis of Halil Akdeniz and his works in abstract expressionist understanding

Expressionist influences that began to be seen in the art of painting in the late 19th century became an art movement in Germany in the early 20th century. The Abstract Expressionism Movement is an understanding that the artists who went from Europe to America with the beginning of the Second World War (1939-1945) brought to the art of painting. What is essential in the Abstract Expressionism Movement is the expression of feelings related to the inner world of man. Abstract Expressionist artists reveal pure form. The change of global and social structure plays an important role in the change of art and artistic structure. The examination of the works of art has an important place in art education as well as revealing the artistic personality of the artist. It is seen that Turkish painters painted abstract expressionist paintings in 1950 and later years. Halil Akdeniz, who has a special place in contemporary Turkish art, has produced works with different art approaches since the beginning of his art life. Although Halil Akdeniz's paintings initially included drawings of nature and live models, etudes, abstractions from nature, they later developed and changed in an Abstract Expressionist direction and in recent years in a conceptual direction. In the current study, Abstract Expressionism Movements has been examined in depth and Halil Akdeniz's works and art understanding have been investigated in the Abstract Expressionist approach.
