Abstract (EN)
It is an unsurmountable fact that in a general sense there is a strong and multi layered relationship between the language which includes social codifications and style which consists of personal linguistic preferences. Unfortunately, due to being considered as different study fields, there is lack of academic cooperation between linguistics and stylistic. In recent years, there has been some studies conducted in that regard but it can be said that it still not sufficient. By achieving this cooperation, linguistics will shed a light upon burgeoning stylistics with its terminology, methodology and theories. Therefore, a text based linguistic stylistic study is done. The focus of the study was on the vocabulary (that presents rich materials) and the arguments of the sentences; these units are a great source to see linguistic preferences. Son Ada by Zülfü Livaneli is used as a linguistic collection, each sentence is individually examined in terms of context and the purpose given by the author. The study serves two ends; firstly, to determine the uniqueness of this literary work and then, present a model for future studies. At the end, it is seen that vocabulary and syntactic stylistic units constituted a pure, clear, living, vivid and direct style.
