Abstract (EN)

S. aureus is one of the most common pathogens in superficial and deep surgical wound infections. It can also cause chronic ulcer infection (pressure ulcers, diabetic foot). The clinical importance of Staphylococcus aureus methicillin resistant's (SMRs), the need to implement more sensitive and specific diagnostic tools for the phenotypic and genotypic identification of strains isolated from samples obtained from hospitals, associated with the community and the agricultural sector is evident. The findings of this study validate the usefulness of conventional molecular tools for identifying and characterising isolates of public health interest when it comes to the identification and determination of resistance profiles of Staphylococcus spp. The mecA gene isn't the only one that confers resistance to methicillin, according to new research. Toxins and proteins associated with virulence factors can be disrupted by new strategies if further research into the various mechanisms of virulence factor action is carried out.
