Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, the stress conditions that arise depending on multiple factors cause quantity and quality losses on plants. Abiotic stress are the most common stress factors that plants encounter. Nutrient uptake problems caused by high lime content and high pH values seen in most of the soils are also among the abiotic stress factors. Eliminating this stress factor is not possible and the approaches that will increase the plants resistance have a great importance. At the present time the use of genetic engineering is being focused. However, these methods are extremely expensive and they require a knowledge. It is so important that to find alternatives natural, easy to use, practicable and harmless to human health. Hormones are effective in the plant stress physiology and play an active role in stress tolerance. One of those substances that are introduced as the new generation hormones are strigolactones (SL). It has been determined that Strigolactones undertake important functions in stress metabolism. In this thesis, it is aimed to provide resistance to lime stress with SL applications on Hasandede grape variety grafted to 1103 P American rootstock. Different concentrations of lime (0, 10% and 25%) were applied to the root area of the plants and SL were applied (0 µM, 1 µM, 3 µM and 5 µM) to the root regions. Samples were taken at 2. 12. 24. 48. and 96 hours later after the SL applications. Physical (degree of injurity, shoot length, leaf number per shoot) and biochemical (membrane injurity, chlorophyll, proline, soluble protein, lipid peroxidation, total phenolic compounds, total flavonols, total flavanols, macro and micro elements) analyzes were performed on the samples. The data obtained from these analyses show that SL aplications have to potential to be used in reducing the damage caused by lime in grapevine.
