Abstract (EN)

One of the most common forms of diabetes is type 2, which occurs because cells do not recognize and respond to insulin if it is not treated properly. The present study was arranged to examine the relationship between thyroid peroxidase, biochemical parameters (T3, T4 and TSH) and lipid profile in type 2 diabetic patients in central Baghdad. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between TSH, T3, T4 and lipid peroxidation with the glycemic index in type 2 diabetic patients. The study collected samples from type 2 diabetic patients and healthy subjects of different ages in Baghdad General Hospital between January ( January 2021 and March 2022. Some tests for biochemical parameters were performed on several T2DM patients and 20 healthy subjects. Where the results showed a significant (high) increase in LDL, VLDL and TSH compared to the control group (P < 0.05), and the results indicated a significant and significant decrease in both HDL levels. Compared to the T3 and T4 control groups (P < 0.05
