Abstract (EN)
In this study, all 5 issues of Şükûfezâr magazine obtained from Özege Collection of Atatürk University were discussed. Şükûfezâr magazine has an exceptional place among the women's magazines that have a leading role in the press. Although the magazine's privileged holder is female, the author staff is also composed entirely of women. The concessionaire is Ârife Hanım. Münif Pasha, the minister of Education of the period and a great Ottoman intellectual, was a kind of patron of the magazine. She were attracted great attention from his readers, and enriched with the letters and works sent by women, some of whom were graduates of Daru'l-muallimat. The study, which consists of four main sections, starts with a subheading that gives information about Ottoman women's magazines after the Introduction. In the introduction, the media activities of the period, the advent of women's magazines and newspapers, and the visibility of the modernization moves of the Ottoman Empire on women were discussed. Detailed information about the tag of the magazine was given in the introduction section of the Şükûfezâr magazine. In the translation section, all issues of the journal have been transferred to Latin letters. In the second chapter, the poems in the journal were examined in terms of their structural features. In the third chapter, the poems in the magazine were examined in terms of content, and also prose and letters of the readers were analyzed. In the index part, all articles in the journal were classified according to the issues, authors name, and journal type. In the conclusion, the data obtained as a result of all examinations were evaluated. We also added a dictionary to the end of this thesis, along with the original text of the journal.
