Abstract (EN)

VII SUMMARY In this study, the adsorptions of some dyestuffs (orange II, crystal violet and reactive blue 5) and accepted as ideal adsorbate p-nitro phenol by chitosan from aqueous solution were investigated as dependent on initial concentration, temperature and shaking rate. Kinetic data obtained for each dyestuff and p-nitro phenol at different temperatures were applied to various kinetic equations (Lagergren equation, Weber-Morris equation and McKay et al. equation) and various kinetic parametres were calculated. Besides, isotherm curves being done isotherm study for each dyestuff and p-nitro phenol at different temperatures were obtained. These experimental data were applied to linear states of isotherm equations they fitted and isotherm constants were calculated and then for dyestuffs which adsorption isotherms of these are fitting Langmuir adsorption isotherm, Langmuir b constants were applied to thermodynamic equations and thermodynamic parametres were also calculated. Then, chitosan was modified and its surface property was changed. The adsorptions of orange II and crystal violet by this modified chitosan (MCM-chitosan) from aqueous solution were investigated as dependent on temperature. Kinetic data obtained for every two dyestuffs at different temperatures were applied to above stated kinetic equations and kinetic parametres were calculated. Besides, isotherm curves being done isotherm study for every two dyestuffs at different temperatures were obtained. Owing to isotherm curves obtained for crystal violet fitted Langmuir isotherm, experimental data were applied to Langmuir linear isotherm equation and Langmuir constants were calculated. Then, Langmuir b constants were applied to thermodynamic equations and thermodynamic parametres for adsorption of crystal violet were also calculated.
