Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research is to examine the role of self-efficacy in the relationship between personality traits and sustainable volunteering. This study is a quantitative research that examines the relationships between overall volunteer satisfaction, personality traits, and self efficacy variables using a correlational survey approach. In addition to this approach, the mediating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between sustainable volunteering and personality traits was examined using the Process model, which was added as an extension to the SPSS program. The sample of the research consists of 304 participants, including 200 women and 104 men, all of whom are actively involved in non-governmental organizations and are over the age of 18. Quantitative data were collected using measures of volunteer satisfaction, a 10-item personality scale, and a general self-efficacy form. Socio-demographic information including age, gender, education level, income status, and duration of volunteering was collected through a demographic form. The results of the study revealed a significant positive relationship between extraversion, conscientiousness, emotional stability personality traits, and sustainable volunteering. It was also found that self-efficacy had a statistically significant relationship with sustainable volunteering, extraversion, conscientiousness, and emotional stability personality traits. According to the results of the mediating model including self-efficacy, it is observed that self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship between extraversion and sustainable volunteering. Finally, it is observed that self-efficacy fully mediates the relationship between emotional stability personality trait and sustainable volunteering, as well as the relationship between conscientiousness and sustainable volunteering.
