Sustainable innovation and export performance: An application on exporting manufacturing enterprises in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Turkiye

In the research, it has been investigated how Economic, Environmental and Social Sustainable Process Innovation each independently affects the Financial, Strategic and Satisfaction Oriented Export Performance of exporting manufacturing enterprises in the United Kingdom (UK) and the Republic of Turkey (TR). Structural Equation Model (SEM) has been created to explore these relationships. The population of the research has been determined as all exporting manufacturing companies in the UK and TR, and the sample of the research is a total of 676 exporting manufacturing companies, 318 from the UK and 358 from TR. The analyses of the research have been conducted using IBM SPSS Version 25 and IBM SPSS AMOS Version 22 package programs. After the data obtained before the SEM analysis of the research has been found to be reliable, it has been determined that the data has showed a normal distribution with the normality analysis. Later, it has been determined that the research data, which were subjected to different tests, have been also valid. Finally, the model was found to be compatible with the SEM analysis. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that there is a positive relationship between the sustainable process innovation activities of exporting manufacturing enterprises and their export performance in both regions that are the subject of the research (In details, there are some differences specific to the Sustainable Process Innovation and Export Performance sub-dimensions and the analysed regions have been found).
