Abstract (EN)
The effects of the rapid economic developments that have taken place in the world after the Industrial Revolution began to be felt and observed especially in the second half of the twentieth century. With the increase of environmental problems, new approaches have been put forward to solve these problems. The concept of sustainability, which has emerged in this period, has also been adopted by companies. In recent years, in accordance with international agreements, national laws and consumer demands, companies have had to give importance to sustainable approaches. Sustainable supply chain management includes minimizing the negative environmental impact of all processes from the beginning of production to final consumption. This approach, which is an additional cost for companies, has positive impacts on the image of the company from the view point of consumers. In other words, the image of companies applying sustainable supply chain management is perceived positively by the consumers.
