Abstract (EN)

The subject of this study is "The Sacrament of The Eucharist: According to The Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch". This survey is consisted of an introduction, four chapters and the result. In the introduction, meaning and historical process of sacraments are probed. In the chapters, firstly, the seven sacraments, the historical process of eucharist and its ritual are respectively wiewed. Later, meaning of eucharist and its practice are expressed. The purpose of this survey is to present an outline of the seven sacraments according to the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch's belief and practice in addition to meaning, historical process and practice of eucharist. In this study, it is found that the word "sacrament" was transformed to the doctrine of sacraments in long historical process. Moreover, the seven sacraments are accepted by the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch and they are systematically explained. In addition, eucharist has been formed in long historical process according to its belief and practice. Furthermore, eucharist has a ritual which is associated with many existing belief in Christianity. In conclusion, it is believed that the believers, partaking in communion, access numerous grace.
