The investiga tion the book Tahir Alangu's "Kediler Padişahı" in terms of the basic principles of the children's literature

In this study, the aim is to examine Tahir Alangu's work titled "Kediler Padişahı" in terms of the fundamental principles of children's literature. A total of seven tales in the book titled "Kediler Padişahı" were analyzed using the document analysis method, which is a qualitative research type. The tales in the work were examined under the subtitles of external structural features and internal structural features. When examining the external structural features of the book, elements such as dimensions, paper material, cover and binding selection, page layout, font usage, writing rules, punctuation marks, and visual elements were taken into consideration. While examining internal structural features, elements such as plot, theme, characters, language and narration, message, setting, and educational principles were addressed. According to the results obtained from the research, it was observed that Tahir Alangu's tale book titled "Kediler Padişahı" is largely suitable for child readers in terms of both external and internal structural features. It was also identified that some of the tales contained elements with violent content that could be problematic from an educational perspective, and there were elements in a few visuals of the work that could cause children to experience anxiety and fear.
