The Thoughts of directors and teachers related to group work (In city of Afyon)

Dr. Yücel ŞÎMŞEK With this research, it is aimed to determine the thoughts of directors and teachers about group work and what the views of director and teacher are according to the sex, reputation, professional seniority and the last schools that they graduated. The research, designed on was applied to 797 directors and teachers in Afyon city center at afficial primary schools in 2002-2003 education first term. It's obtained 73,79 percent of data from this research. The data about the aim of the research have been gathered in the name of "The Thoughts of Directors and Teachers Related to the Group Work" and it has two parts and 29 articles. At the stage of the analy sis of the data, the frequency and the percent calculation are used to determine the views of director and teachers according to the factual data. Owing to the findings obtained from the research, approximately two thirds of the teacher and directors agree with the idea of the group work is suitable for the structure of the schools. They also believe the importance of group work and it is necessary to work with the groups in order to increase the quality of the schools. To sum up, theviews of the directors and teachers about group work are similar to the sex, reputation, professional seniority and the last schools they graduated.
