Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to see if the perceived coach attitudes and behaviors of team athletes, as well as their aggression and anger levels, differed depending on the gender of the athletes and to look at the relationship between perceived coach attitudes and behaviors of team athletes and their aggression and anger levels. The study included 121 athletes, 62 female and 59 male, who competed in Adana Province handball, volleyball, and football championships. Data was collected using the Personal Information Form, the Perceived Coach Attitudes and Behaviors Scale, and the Competitive Aggression and Anger Scale. The Perceived Coach Attitudes and Behaviours Scale is divided into three sub-dimensions: "Characteristic Features," "Knowledge/Skills," and "Justice." The Competitive Aggression and Anger Scale is divided into two subdimensions: ''Aggression'' and ''Anger''. There was no gender difference in the study's scores obtained from the ''Characteristic Features,'' ''Knowledge/Skills,'' and ''Justice'' sub-dimensions. Similarly, there was no significant difference in the scores derived from the ''Aggression'' and ''Anger'' sub-dimensions by gender. A statistically significant, negative, and low-level relationship was discovered between the Knowledge/Skills sub-dimension of the Coaches Attitudes and Behaviours Scale and the Aggression sub-dimension of the Aggression and Anger in Sport Scale. As a result, it was discovered that the perceived coach attitudes and behaviors of team athletes participating in the study, as well as levels of competitive aggression and anger in sports, do not differ by gender and that there is a relationship between perceived coach attitudes and behaviors and competitive aggression and anger.
