Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to understand how classroom teachers evaluate the Teaching Profession Law No. 7354 published in the official gazette on February 14, 2022. Survey design, which is a quantitative research type, was preferred in the study. The population of the study consists of a total of 3408 classroom teachers working in 227 primary schools in Bağlar, Kayapınar, Sur and Yenişehir in the central districts of Diyarbakır Province in the 2022-2023 academic year. In the study, the "Perception Scale for the Teaching Profession Law" developed by us was used as a data collection tool and these scales were applied to 431 teachers through face-to-face interviews. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS programs. In the study, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Kruskal Wallis-H tests were used to determine whether teacher perceptions showed significant differences according to various variables. The significance level was set as 0.05. The findings obtained for the Scale of Classroom Teachers' Professional Code of Teaching can be summarized as follows: There was no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of the scale according to gender variable. Significant differences were found in the remaining variables of age, working time, educational status, union status, employment type and title in the Ministry of National Education and are explained in tables.
