Abstract (EN)
In this study, the Magnesium chloride flocculation of real textile industry wastewater from two factories and synthetic textile dyes; Basic Blue 41 (BB41), Basic Blue 3 (BB3), Vat Blue 3 (VB3), Vat Gren 1 (VG1), Vat Blue 4 (VB4), Direct Blue 71 (DB71) Reactive Blue 29 (RB29) have been studied and results were compared with conventional coagulant of Alum. Effects of pH and optimum dosages of Magnesium chloride have also been investigated. Results showed that Magnesium chloride was more effective at pH 11.5. The colour and COD removal efficiencies of Magnesium chloride were found better than Alum. Data from experimental Works were also applied to Freundlich, Langmuir, Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich adsorption isotherm models and related constants of each model were also calculated in order to determine the effect of adsorption. It was found out that adsorption plays important role during whole coagulation process for the removal COD and colour
