Abstract (EN)

The 5th verse of the chapter of tawba is an important verse in terms of the abrogation of the verses of the Qur'an and the law of war. It is claimed that since the 5th verse of the chapter of Tawba, which is called the verse of Saif, is the last verse to be revealed about the polytheists, It cancels the provisions of all the verses that were revealed before it and contain the provisions other than war. The removal of the verse from its context has been effective in such an idea. When evaluated in the context of the verse, Hz. It will be seen that his invitation to the Prophet was revealed about the polytheist Arabs who had been suffering from the first years. This verse is a threat to the polytheist Arabs. When all these are evaluated, it will be understood that there is no need for the verse to be comprehensive for all non-Muslims. There are one hundred and thirty verses in the referenced sources regarding the abrogation of the 5th verse of the Surah At-Tawba. It will be seen that most of these verses take place in the works of Nevâsihu'l-Qur'an. When the 5th verse of the chapter of at-Tawba was the last verse about the relations with the polytheists, the verses that were thought to be contradictory and that were revealed before the verse of saif were considered abrogated. When the sources are examined, it will be seen that there is no contradiction between many verses that are accepted as abrogated and the 5th verse of the Surah At-Tawba. Approaching the verses with a wholesale understanding of naskh will lead to ignoring the verses that contain many moral and universal principles. There are many reasons why one hundred and thirty verses are considered abrogated. At the beginning of these is the idea of interstate relations based on war order and the idea of iskal, which is accepted to be among the 5th verse and abrogated verses of the Surah At-Tawba. Even though the war situation is based on the 5th verse of the chapter of at-Tawba and the verses that are claimed to be abrogated, there is no situation that necessitates the application of abrogation, since there is no contradiction.
