Abstract (EN)
This thesis is a study of the idea of freedom of German philosopher and sociologist Theodor W. Adorno. Adorno's idea of freedom is shaped around a negative dialectical and critical thinking. His philosophical thought should be interpreted in unity. Has an interdisciplinary perspective. Adorno's idea of freedom; art, literature, society, capitalism, ethics, etc. Among these ideas, freedom is mostly mediated by art and morality. Truth is not within a single discipline or whole; According to him, the truth is fragmented. At a time when truth is fragmented, making everything identical and holistic deprives the individual of his autonomy. The characteristic feature of bourgeois society is identification. According to Adorno, the logic of the identification of individuals manifests itself in late capitalism. Adorno has dominated the individual himself with the domination of nature. The individual's domination has objectified and reified it. Adorno examines the historical and social dynamics of these factors that liberate the individual. According to him, the individual and the whole should be handled in these contexts. The individual is connected to the whole with the hope of a better life in historical and social processes. The dominant mind of every age promises this. But even though there is a constant doctrine of better life or moral doctrine, we are always confronted with a life that goes worse. In the first part of this thesis, the authoritarian personality, cultural industry and aesthetics of Frankfurt School and Adorno will be discussed. In the second part, three philosophers that make up the history of thought of Adorno's idea of freedom will be discussed: Kant, Hegel and Marx. In the last and third part, the relationship between Adorno's idea of freedom and morality is discussed.
